Facades – EWI Retrofit Upgrade To Cork House
SIG Facades worked with Keith Im Plastering Services, who recently completed a Cork City project using the Alsecco Basic 1 System with Kore EPS insulation. The project involved installing an External Wall Insulation system on a residential property to improve the building’s energy efficiency and aesthetic appearance
Paul Kennedy from the SIG Facades team worked with Keith and the homeowner to design a system that would meet their requirements and achieve the desired outcome. They chose the Alsecco Basic 1 System with Kore EPS insulation for its excellent thermal properties and ease of installation.
All the materials for the project were supplied to the site by our Cork branch. The materials were delivered on time and in full, allowing Keith and his crew to start work immediately.
The installation of the EWI system involved fixing insulation boards to the exterior walls of the property, followed by a layer of reinforcement and a decorative finish coat. Keith and his crew worked meticulously to ensure that the insulation boards were fixed securely and that the reinforcement layer was applied evenly.
The finishing coat was applied with great care, resulting in a smooth and flawless finish. The homeowner was delighted with the end result and was impressed by the quality of the workmanship.
Thanks to the Alsecco Basic 1 System with Kore EPS insulation, the property now has improved thermal efficiency, reduced heating costs, and a modern, attractive exterior. The project was completed on time and within budget, thanks to the expertise of Keith Im Plastering and the reliable supply of materials from SIG Cork and the SIG Facades team.
